How to Check 12th Class Result 2026 by Roll Number
Checking the Punjab Board 2nd Year Result by roll number is one of the easiest methods.
Follow these steps:
- Visit the official website of your Punjab Board.
- Open the Result section.
- Select HSSC / Intermediate Part-II / 12th Class.
- Select 2026 as the examination year.
- Enter your roll number.
- Submit the result form.
- Wait for your result to appear.
- Check your subject-wise marks and total result.
- Save a screenshot or print the result for your records.
On result day, the official websites may become slow because of high traffic. If the page does not open immediately, wait a few minutes and try again rather than assuming that the result has not been announced.
Can You Check the 12th Class Result by SMS?
Yes, students can also use the SMS result service provided by their respective board.
The exact SMS format and code can vary from one Punjab Board to another. Students should therefore confirm the current SMS code from their own board’s official website before sending their roll number.
This method can be particularly useful when the online result website is busy.
Can You Check the 12th Class Result by Name?
Some educational result services may offer a name-based search after result data becomes available. However, students should prefer the official board result system and roll number when checking their own result.
A roll number is more useful for identifying an individual candidate because many students can have the same or similar names.
Punjab Board 12th Class Result Gazette 2026
After the result announcement, the relevant boards may make an HSSC Part-II Result Gazette available.
A result gazette is useful for schools, teachers and students who need to check multiple candidates’ results. Availability and download procedures can vary by board, so students should look for the gazette on the relevant board’s official website after the result is published.
What Information Will Appear in the Result?
Depending on the board’s result system, students may see information such as:
- Student name
- Roll number
- Board name
- Examination
- Subject-wise marks
- Total marks
- Grade or percentage
- Result status
- Pass/fail status
Students should carefully review the information shown on the result page.
If there appears to be an error in personal information or marks, contact the relevant board and follow its official procedure instead of relying on unofficial social media posts.
12th Class Position Holders 2026
Position-holder announcements can take place before the general result.
For example, recent reporting says BISE Lahore is scheduled to announce its position holders on September 22, 2026, at 4:00 PM, one day before the general Class 12 result.
Students interested in the position-holder list should check their board’s official announcements because the details can differ between boards.
What Should Students Do After the 12th Class Result?
Getting the result is not the final step. Students who have completed Intermediate should start planning their next stage of education.
Depending on their marks, subjects and career goals, students may consider:
- Bachelor’s degree programs
- Medical or health-related programs
- Engineering programs
- Computer science and IT programs
- Business and commerce programs
- Social sciences and humanities
- Professional or technical education
Students should check the admission requirements of each university or institution before applying.
It is also a good idea to keep a copy of the result and obtain the official Detailed Marks Certificate (DMC) when it is issued by the board.
What If You Are Not Satisfied With Your Marks?
Students who believe their marks are lower than expected should not rely on unofficial advice.
Check your board’s official rules for options such as paper rechecking, re-totaling, improvement examinations or supplementary examinations, where applicable.
The procedure, deadlines and applicable fees are determined by the relevant board, so always confirm the latest information before submitting an application.
