What Should You Do After Checking Your Result?
Getting your result is only the beginning of the next stage. Once you know your marks, take a few practical steps.
1. Save your result
Take a screenshot and, if available, download or print a copy of your online result.
You may need your result information while applying for university admission, scholarships or other educational programs.
2. Check all subject marks
Do not look only at your total marks.
Compare the marks shown for each subject with your expectations and make sure the result details appear correctly.
3. Start preparing for university admissions
Students who want to continue their education should start checking admission schedules as soon as possible.
Depending on your group and interests, you may be considering fields such as:
- Medicine
- Engineering
- Computer Science
- Information Technology
- Business
- Commerce
- Social Sciences
- Arts and Humanities
Admission requirements and deadlines vary between institutions, so check the official university website before applying.
4. Consider rechecking if there is a genuine concern
If your marks are significantly different from what you expected, check whether BISE Gujranwala has opened an application process for paper rechecking or re-totaling.
Do not rely on social media posts for deadlines. Follow the board’s official instructions and submit an application within the stated time.
5. Look for scholarships
A strong intermediate result may help students qualify for certain scholarships or merit-based opportunities.
Scholarship criteria are different for every institution and program. Check the official scholarship provider for eligibility, documents and deadlines.
What If You Did Not Get the Marks You Expected?
A disappointing result can be difficult, especially after months of preparation.
However, one examination result does not determine your entire future.
First, check your subject-wise marks carefully. Then look at the options available to you, such as rechecking where applicable, improving subjects, choosing another suitable degree program or applying to institutions whose admission criteria match your result.
The most useful step is to make a realistic plan based on your marks, interests and available opportunities.
